Opened in 1926 as Japan’s first public art museum, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. Located in Ueno Park, it serves as a “Doorway to Art” for all ages.
The museum hosts major international special exhibitions, Art Group Exhibitions by art associations, and art communication programs connecting visitors with artists and artworks.
