A branch of the Edo-Tokyo Museum, this open-air museum preserves and exhibits 30 historical buildings spanning the Edo period to the mid-Showa era across a 7-hectare site within Koganei Park.
Buildings of high cultural value were relocated from across Tokyo, restored, and arranged into three themed zones: the West Zone (modern house and farming structures), the Central Zone (historic residences), and the East Zone (urban townscape).
